After ASUU, ASUP set to conduct referendum on strike

ASUP seems set to toe the line of their university counterpart, ASUU, as the union is set to conduct a referendum to decide what next concerning their ongoing strike.

Recall that last week ASUU conducted a referendum that allowed eligible members of the organization to vote for or against the strike.

Latest news about ASUP strike has it that The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has directed its members in all chapters to hold a referendum to decide on way forward about the strike.

News has it that ASUP boss, Mr. Usman Dutse, told newsmen last week in Lagos that the referendum would hold between last week and this week.

“After the referendum, the National Executive Council will meet to decide next line of action,” he said.
