ASUU strike: no end on sight

Strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities may not end anytime soon, as ASUU boss asks members of the union to get ready for a prolonged strike. President of the Academic Union of Universities, ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi yesterday told striking lecturers to get ready for a prolong industrial action, one month and a couple of days since the union embarked on the ongoing industrial action. From the comment of ASUU boss, it seems series of meetings so far between the ASUU and the federal yielded no positive results. Unfortunately, students of government owned universities, as well as prospective students will be the one worst hit by this strike.
