Stop worrying about your JAMB result, focus on post-UTME

 / 2 Comments /JAMB
By now most of you JAMB candidates have written your UTME exams. But instead of moving on to face the very last step ahead (which is post-UTME/admission) some candidates are busy worrying about JAMB that is already past. What I want to tell you is that after JAMB you don't have to keep worrying about your performance because worries won't change anything instead it might even affect your performance in the post UTME exam.

Be wary of JAMB upgrade

Also, do not fall victim of scammers who say they upgrade JAMB results. That is like the most stupid scam out there because you ask yourself how would they change a result that is in the JAMB database?

Post UTME counts

Another thing you need to bear in mind is that your post UTME results also contribute a lot in determining if you will gain admission or not. Both your O'level, JAMB and post UTME have how much they contribute in the overall average of the candidate. So why put every hope in JAMB?

Take your post UTME exam serious

What I would suggest you do know is to take some rest from the JAMB stress and then start preparing for post UTME. During my post UTME at the University of Nigeria Nsukka I got a score that was higher than my JAMB score and made it in the merit list (mechanical engineering). Some schools don't joke with post UTME, especially those schools who trust their own post-UTME exam more than they trust JAMB. Do your best and hope for the best. I wish you an admission!

You are welcome. JAMB cutoff marks may vary with schools. Some 140, some up to 180. As for post UTME, most schools still conduct post-UTME exam for JAMB candidates and the post UTME is added to JAMB and O'Level points before the candidates aggregate point is determined
