The National Universities Commission (NUC) which is the governing body for all the universities in Nigeria has listed the schools it considered illegal and warned candidates seeking admission into universities to avoid these schools.
Why you should avoid these universities
The answer is an obvious one: your certificate upon graduation will not be recognized. Here is how the NUC said it:
...anybody who patronises or obtains any certificate from any of these illegal institutions does so at his or her own risk. Certificates obtained from these sources will not be recognised for the purposes of NYSC, employment, and further studies.

1) University of Accountancy and Management Studies, operating anywhere in Nigeria
