New polytechnic (Ogun Polytechnic) set to take off in May 2019

Ogun state is set to launch a new polytechnic next month (MAy 2019). The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun said every arrangement are being put in place to ensure that the school formally opens as scheduled: "All arrangements have been made to have the institution’s first matriculation ceremony." The governor further disclosed that no fewer than 3,000 applicants would be admitted into the polytechnic that already has 2,500 students capacity lecture theatre. "We already have lecture theatres that can take 2,500 students at a go, hostel facility, staff quarters and rectors residence among others, hence the polytechnic is more than ready for the takeoff.", he said.
