Calculation of Population Density - SS2 Geography Lesson Note

To calculate population density, you need two pieces of information:

Total Population: The number of people living in the area you're interested in.

Land Area: The total size of the area in square kilometers or square miles.

The formula for population density is:

Population Density = (Total Population\Land Area)
