Definition: A triangle with all three sides of equal length.

Properties:
At least two sides are of equal length.
The angles opposite the equal sides are equal.
The altitude (perpendicular from a vertex to the opposite side) bisects the base if drawn from the vertex opposite the base.
Example: An isosceles triangle can be seen in the shape of a yield sign.
