Correct Seating Position:Maintain a proper seating position by ensuring that your feet are flat on the floor, and your knees are at a 90-degree angle. Sit back in the chair with good lower back support.
Screen Position:Position the computer screen at eye level to avoid straining your neck. The top of the screen should be at or slightly below eye level, allowing for a natural and comfortable viewing angle.
Proper Keyboard and Mouse Placement:Keep the keyboard and mouse at a comfortable distance, allowing your elbows to stay close to your body. Your wrists should not be strained, and the keyboard and mouse should be at the same level.
Regular Breaks and Stretching:Take short breaks at regular intervals to stand up, stretch, and change your posture. Simple stretches for the neck, shoulders, and wrists can help prevent stiffness and discomfort.
Eye Care:Follow the 20-20-20 rule to reduce eye strain. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Additionally, adjust the screen brightness and text size for comfortable reading.
Proper Lighting:Ensure sufficient and even lighting in the workspace to reduce glare on the screen. Avoid placing the computer desk directly under harsh overhead lights or in front of windows to prevent reflections.
Organized Workspace:Keep your workspace organized to minimize clutter. Arrange frequently used items within easy reach to reduce unnecessary stretching or bending.
Chair Comfort:Choose a chair that provides proper lumbar support, ensuring a comfortable and ergonomic seating position. The chair height should allow your thighs to be parallel to the ground.
Use of Ergonomic Accessories:Consider using ergonomic accessories such as an adjustable chair, ergonomic keyboard, and mouse, or a laptop stand to enhance your computer setup and accommodate your individual needs.
Eye-level Documents:If referencing physical documents while working on the computer, use a document holder placed at eye level to avoid constantly looking down and straining your neck.
