Latex is collected through a process called tapping. Tapping involves making diagonal cuts on the bark to allow latex to flow into collecting cups. Tapping should be done with care to avoid damaging the cambium layer, as it can impact the tree's health and latex production.

After collection, the latex is coagulated using chemicals like formic acid or acidified water. The coagulated latex is then rolled into sheets, smoked, and dried to produce rubber.

Rubber sheets should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area. Proper storage helps prevent mold and deterioration.
