Makeup Items - JSS1 Cultural and Creative Art Lesson Note
These makeup items serve various purposes, from creating a flawless complexion to adding pops of color and defining features, ultimately contributing to the desired appearance.
(i) Powder: Used to set foundation and concealer, control shine, and give the skin a matte finish.
(ii) Lipstick: Adds color to the lips and can also provide moisture or shine, enhancing the appearance of the mouth.
(iii) Wig: While not strictly makeup, wigs are sometimes used to change hairstyles or cover up hair loss, contributing to overall appearance transformation.
(iv) Eye Pencil: Used to define and accentuate the eyes by outlining the lash line or creating various eye makeup looks.
(v) Native Chalk: Also known as clay or earth pigment, it's sometimes used as a natural alternative to traditional makeup for adding color to the skin, especially in cultural or traditional practices.
(vi) Cam Wood: A natural reddish pigment derived from the camwood tree, used historically as a cosmetic to add color to the skin or lips.
