Meaning and major commercial activities - SS2 Geography Lesson Note
Trade:
Trade refers to the buying and selling of goods and services between people, businesses, or countries. It involves exchanging products for money or other items in a mutually beneficial way. In trade, businesses buy products or services and sell them to customers. This can happen locally or internationally. For example, a store buying and selling clothes is involved in trade.
Transportation:
Transportation involves moving people or goods from one place to another. It can include various methods like cars, trucks, trains, ships, airplanes, or even walking.
Transportation companies move goods and people from one location to another. This includes shipping companies transporting goods across oceans, airlines flying people to different destinations, and trucking companies delivering products to stores.
Commercialization:
Commercialization means taking something and turning it into a product or service for sale in the market. It is the process of making a business out of an idea or invention.
Commercialization takes an idea or innovation and turns it into a product that people want to buy. For instance, when a tech company creates a new smartphone and sells it to the public, that's commercialization in action.
