Plot Points on the Cartesian Plane - JSS2 Mathematics Lesson Note

Each point on the Cartesian plane is represented by an ordered pair (x, y). The first number in the pair is the x-coordinate, and the second number is the y-coordinate.

Example: To plot the point (3, 2):

  • Move 3 units to the right along the x-axis.
  • Move 2 units up along the y-axis.
  • Mark the point where these two movements intersect.
