Relationship between fractions and decimals: - JSS1 Mathematics Lesson Note

Fractions and decimals are two different ways to represent the same value. A fraction like 1/2 can be written as a decimal as 0.5. Similarly, a decimal like 0.75 can be written as a fraction as 75/100 or simplified to 3/4. Essentially, fractions and decimals are alternative forms of representing the same mathematical concept of a part of a whole.
