The annoinciation. Isaiah 9:6-7, Matt1:22-23, Lk1:30-33 - JSS2 Christian Religious Studies Lesson Note

The promise of the coming of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament was prophesied by Prophet Isaiah. God sent the prophets to announce the coming of the Savior Jesus Christ. Isaiah was one of the prophets sent by God. Isaiah prophesied the birth of the Savior, saying;

‘Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel’ Isaiah also prophesied saying:

“For to us a child is born, to us a child is given;

And the government of the world will be upon his shoulders, and his name will be called:

  1. Wonderful
  2. Counselor
  3. Mighty God
  4. Everlasting father
  5. Prince of peace

And of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end”.

The promise of the Savior by God became necessary in order to restore the good relationship between God and man and also to establish justice and righteousness in the world.
