Types of Energy - JSS2 Basic science Lesson Note

Potential Energy: This is the stored energy an object has due to its position or state. It is like having a loaded spring or a ball at the top of a hill. The higher the object is raised against gravity or the more stretched or compressed a spring is, the more potential energy it has.

Kinetic Energy: This is the energy an object possesses due to its motion. It is like when you throw a ball, it has energy because it's moving. The faster it moves and the heavier it is, the more kinetic energy it has.
