Types of Pastures - SS2 Agriculture Lesson Note
Permanent Pasture: These are areas with grasses and forage plants that are maintained for several years without replanting. They are often used for grazing livestock.
Rotational Pasture: In rotational pastures, animals are moved between different sections of the pasture to prevent overgrazing and allow forage to regrow. It's a sustainable practice.
Temporary Pasture: These are pastures planted with annual or short-lived plants. They provide quick forage but need replanting each season.
Irrigated Pasture: Pastures with a reliable water supply for regular watering, enhancing forage growth, especially in arid regions.
