What are some real-world applications of levers... - JSS2 Basic technology Simple Machines Question
What are some real-world applications of levers and how do they make tasks easier?
Levers are widely used in tools and everyday objects to make tasks easier by amplifying force. Scissors, a first-class lever, allow us to cut materials with less effort by applying force at the handles to create a greater force at the blades. Nutcrackers, a second-class lever, let us crack nuts by exerting a small force at the handles to apply a larger force at the jaws. Tweezers, a third-class lever, enable us to pick up small objects with precision by applying force at the ends of the handles.
