2024 Policy Meeting on Admissions

The Policy Meeting on Admissions is a key event where stakeholders in education, like university officials and government representatives, decide rules for who can get admissions. They set guidelines, review past processes, and aim for fairness.

This meeting will involve key stakeholders in the education sector and will be chaired by the Hon. Minister of Education, Prof. Mamman Tahir.

Supplementary UTME Announcement

The supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, 2024. This is an important update for candidates who missed the main exam.

Crackdown on Fake JAMB Websites

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested three suspects responsible for creating fake JAMB registration websites. This move is part of efforts to combat online scams and protect the integrity of the JAMB admission process.

Verification of Certificates for Direct Entry Registration

JAMB has issued some guidelines for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) registration. Schools are required to verify candidates' certificates to ensure the authenticity of their qualifications. Affected schools include Ahmadu Bello University, University of Nigeria Nsukka, and others. This verification process is important for maintaining the integrity of admissions.

Financial Report: June 1 to June 7, 2024

JAMB reported significant financial transactions for the period from June 1 to June 7, 2024. This includes payments to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres totaling N2,688,708,000. JAMB-owned centres received N92,596,500, while privately owned CBT centres were paid N2,596,111,500.
