JAMB raised a whooping N1.3 billion from 2019/2020 UTME in a space of 1 week.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced 1.3 billion Naira revenue between January 18 and 24, 2019.
According to JAMB, the body in charge of admission processes into Nigerian higher institutions, the money was raised from the use of its electronic facilities:
- N1,212,800,000 from UTME registration,
- N13,378,604 as service charges by the CBT centres
- N52,657,00 from other sources.
This figure comes as no surprise though if you consider that more than 300,000 candidates registered for 2019 UTME within the first week the registration commenced.
