The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the official timetable for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates (2nd series). This year, exams will be computer-based (CBT), beginning on Friday, October 25th, 2024, and running through December 13th, 2024.

Key Timetable Highlights

October 2024

  • Friday, October 25th, 2024: The first set of exams includes practical planning sessions for Foods and Nutrition and Home Management, starting at 9:30 AM.

November 2024

  • November 4th - 15th, 2024: Oral and practical exams will be held for subjects like Arabic, Music, French, Clothing and Textiles, Foods and Nutrition, and Home Management.
  • Wednesday, November 13th, 2024:
    • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Building Construction (PC6043)
    • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Government (PC2052)
  • Friday, November 15th, 2024: Practical and essay papers for Home Management and Basic Electronics.
  • December 2024

    • Saturday, December 7th, 2024:
      • 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM: English Language Essay and Objective exams.
      • 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM: English Language Test of Orals (PC3023/B).
  • Friday, December 13th, 2024: The exams conclude with French and Health Education, with essay and objective papers scheduled for the final day.

    Important Information for Candidates

    1. Timetable Conflicts: In case of any difference in time between the timetable and the exam question paper, candidates are advised to follow the duration listed on the question paper.
    2. Advance Question Papers: For certain practical exams, question papers may be given in advance. Candidates should refer to specific subjects like Visual Arts to confirm their schedule.
    3. Special Needs: Candidates requiring special accommodations will be granted extra time, with 1.5 times the normal duration provided to them.
