Activities of Marketing Boards In Nigeria - SS1 Economics Lesson Note

  • OFN (Operation Feed the Nation) was established in Nigeria in 1976 to encourage Nigerians to participate in agriculture by providing them with the necessary knowledge and resources to grow their own food.   • Provision of fertilizers, improved seedlings, formation of cooperative societies, improved storage facilities, and provision of extension services are activities aimed at increasing agricultural production in Nigeria. These activities involve providing farmers with the necessary inputs and knowledge to increase their productivity and profitability. Improved storage facilities and cooperative societies help farmers to store their produce and access markets, while extension services provide farmers with training and support to improve their farming practices.
