Area of Circles - JSS3 Mathematics Lesson Note

The area of a circle is given by the formula:

Area=𝜋×radius^2

For instance:

Take a circle with a radius of 5 units.

Area=m 𝜋×5^2=25𝜋 square units

If you need a numerical approximation:

Area≈25×3.14=78.5 square units (approx.)

Therefore, the area of this circle is approximately 78.5 square units.
