Area of Triangles - JSS3 Mathematics Lesson Note

The area of a triangle is given by the formula:

Area=½×base×height

 

Here is an example:

Consider a triangle with a base of 6 units and a height of 4 units.

Area=½×6×4=12 square units

So, the area of this triangle is 12 square units.
