Balanced and Unbalanced Forces - JSS1 Basic science Lesson Note

Balanced Forces: When the forces acting on an object cancel each other out, resulting in no change in motion. The object may be at rest or moving at a constant velocity.

Unbalanced Forces: When the forces acting on an object are unequal, causing a change in its motion. This could mean speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction.
