Brief History of World Wide Web - SS3 ICT Lesson Note
The Brief History of World Wide Web was invented by British computer scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 while working at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland. His goal was to create a way for scientists to share and access information easily across the global research community. In 1991, he introduced the first web page and web browser, marking the birth of the WWW. The initial web pages were basic, text-based documents, but the web quickly evolved to support multimedia content.
