Comprehension Passage:

Title: The Lost Key

It was a warm summer afternoon when Tom and his younger brother, Sam, decided to explore the woods behind their house. Armed with curiosity and a sense of adventure, they ventured deeper into the forest, the rustling leaves and chirping birds accompanying their journey.

As they roamed around, Tom spotted an old, dilapidated cabin hidden amidst the trees. Intrigued, they cautiously approached the cabin, its wooden door slightly ajar. With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, they pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The interior of the cabin was dimly lit, the sunlight barely penetrating through the boarded-up windows. Cobwebs adorned the corners, and dust danced in the air as they entered. Amidst the clutter, they noticed an antique key lying on a dusty table, its intricate design catching their eyes.

Sam reached out to grab the key when suddenly, a voice echoed through the silence, "Who dares enter my domain?" Startled, the boys turned around to see an old man standing in the shadows, his eyes piercing through the darkness.

"I apologize, sir. We didn't mean to intrude," Tom stammered, trying to hide his nervousness.

The old man's expression softened as he looked at them. "No harm done, young adventurers. But heed my warning: this key unlocks secrets far beyond your imagination. Use it wisely."

With those cryptic words, the old man disappeared into the shadows, leaving Tom and Sam standing in the cabin, the key clutched tightly in their hands.
