Degreasers - JSS1 Home Economics Lesson Note

Degreasers are sometimes known as solvent cleaners and are used to remove grease from surfaces such as oven tops, counters and grill back-splashes. Methylated spirits or white spirits were commonly used to remove grease in the past. Most food businesses now try to use non-fuming grease removers in their operations to prevent chemical contamination.
