Drama:
Drama is a form of literature that is meant to be performed. It tells stories through dialogue and action. Drama can be divided into many different genres, such as comedies, tragedies, and dramas.
Presentation: Drama is like watching a play on stage or a movie. It's about characters speaking and acting out their roles.
Dialogues: Characters in dramas communicate through spoken words and interactions. We learn about them from what they say and how they interact.
Stage Directions: Drama uses instructions for actors' movements, expressions, and even how they say lines.
Setting: The setting of a drama is often described through the stage directions, which tell us where the characters are and what's around them.
Conflict and Action: Dramas often involve conflicts that characters need to resolve, creating tension and excitement.
Acts and Scense: Dramas are divided into acts (big sections) and scenes (smaller parts) to help organize the story.
Prose:
Prose is a form of writing that does not follow a regular meter or rhyme scheme. It is the most common form of writing, and it is used in both fiction and nonfiction. Prose can be divided into many different types, including novels, short stories, essays, articles, and reports.
Natural Language: Prose uses regular language that we use in everyday conversations and writing.
Narrative Style: It's like reading a story that someone is telling you. Prose can be short (short stories) or long (novels).
Characters and Plots: Prose stories have characters with feelings, thoughts, and actions. They also have plots with conflicts and resolutions.
Paragraphs: Prose uses paragraphs to separate ideas and make the text easy to read.
Imagination: Prose writers create imaginary worlds and characters to tell their stories.
Poetry:
Poetry is a form of literature that uses language in a rhythmic and expressive way. It often uses figurative language, such as similes, metaphors, and personification, to create a vivid and imaginative effect. Poetry can be divided into many different types, including lyric poetry, narrative poetry, and dramatic poetry.
Language Play: Poetry is like a language dance. Poets use creative and special language with rhythm and rhyme.
Emotion Expression: Poems often express feelings, emotions, and thoughts in a condensed and powerful form.
Imagery: Poets use vivid descriptions to help us imagine things in our minds.
Structure: Poems have different structures like stanzas (paragraphs in poetry), lines, and rhyme schemes.
Sound Effects: Poems can sound musical because of sound devices like alliteration (repeating the same sound) and onomatopoeia (words that sound like what they mean).
