Composition

Composition refers to the arrangement and organization of elements within a written work. It encompasses the structure, style, and coherence of a piece of writing.

Elements of Composition: The features or characteristics that make up a composition are divided into three parts:

(i) The introduction (ii)The body (li) The conclusion.

Introduction:

  - The opening paragraph sets the stage for your composition.

 - It provides context and introduces the topic to the reader.

Body

  - The body comprises the main content of your composition.

  - Here, you expand on your topic, presenting your ideas and arguments.

Conclusion:

  - The final paragraph wraps up your composition.

  - It summarizes your main points and offers closure to the reader.

Paragraph Structure:

  - A paragraph consists of two or more sentences.

  - Each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.

  - Together, sentences form a cohesive unit, conveying a complete thought or idea.

Example:

  - "I had a wonderful time during my last holiday."

  - This sentence represents a complete thought within a paragraph.

  - When combined with other sentences, it forms a coherent narrative or argument.

- "I had a wonderful time during, my last holiday because my parents travelled. This gave me the opportunity to visit my old friends and relatives they were glad to see me because they really enjoyed my coming."(Paragraph)
