Facilities and Equipment - JSS3 Physical and health education Lesson Note

Facilities:

Track Events: Standard 400-meter track with lanes for sprinting and hurdles.

Field Events: Long jump pit, high jump and pole vault mats, throwing areas for shot put, discus, and javelin.

Equipment:

Track Events: Starting blocks, hurdles.

Field Events: Shot puts, discus, javelins, poles for vaulting, jumping pits with sand.

Rules and Regulations

Athletes must adhere to the specified techniques and measurements for each event.

In track events, false starts can lead to disqualification.

In field events, proper technique and legal throws/jumps (within sector lines and without fouls) are required.

Judges oversee each event to ensure compliance with the rules.
