Friction - JSS1 Basic science Lesson Note
Meaning: Friction is the resistance force that opposes motion when two surfaces are in contact with each other.
Uses: Friction is essential for walking, driving vehicles, writing with a pen, and many other everyday activities.
Advantages: It helps to prevent slipping, allows us to grip objects, and enables vehicles to stop.
Disadvantages: It can cause wear and tear on surfaces, reduce efficiency in machines, and create heat, leading to energy loss.
