Selective Quarantine - SS3 Agriculture Lesson Note

Selective Quarantine is a practice of isolating and keeping sick or potentially infected animals away from healthy ones based on animal species

Purpose: It also helps prevent the spread of diseases within a herd or group of animals.

How it works: Sick or new animals of different species are separated for a period to observe and treat them, reducing the chance of disease transmission to the rest of the group.
