How God considers disobedience - JSS1 Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Lesson Note

God considers the sin of disobedience as witchcraft ( 1 Samuel 25:23). God takes witchcraft very seriously. The penalty for practicing witchcraft under the Mosaic Law was death (Exodus 22:18; Leviticus 20:27).The reason is because the root of disobedience is worshiping ‘the self’, not God, (for which purpose we were created, see Revelation 4:11), Disobedience is ultimately spawned from the sin of the devil and God thus equates it to being as the sin of those who practise witchcraft.
