INFORMAL LETTER - JSS2 English language Lesson Note

Informal Letters:
Informal letters are the type of letters you write to your dear ones, such as friends, parents, and other relatives. They have a more relaxed tone and are often used for personal communication. Unlike formal letters, which follow specific conventions, informal letters allow you to express your feelings and thoughts in a more casual manner.

Here are the key features of an informal letter:
One Address: In an informal letter, you typically only include the recipient's address (if any) at the top.
Opening Salutation: Begin with a friendly greeting, such as "Dear [Name]," or simply "Hi [Name],".
Body of the Letter: This is where you share your message, stories, or updates. Feel free to be conversational and share personal anecdotes.
Closing: End the letter with a warm closing, like "Love," "Best wishes," or "Take care," followed by your name.
No Formal Signature: Unlike formal letters, you don't need to sign off with your full name or any official titles.

 I writing an informal letter to your daddy. Here's an example:

Example Informal Letter to Daddy:

```
Dear Daddy,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. It's been a while since we last caught up, and I wanted to share some exciting news with you.
Guess what? I've started a new school, and it's been an incredible experience so far. The teachers are friendly, and the subjects are fascinating. I particularly enjoy the science classes—I've already conducted a few fun experiments in the lab!
The best part is the new friends I've made. There's a girl named Emily who shares my love for books, and together, we've formed a little book club. We meet during lunch breaks and discuss our favorite novels. You'd be proud of my reading list—I've devoured everything from classic literature to thrilling mysteries.
Daddy, thank you for always encouraging me to explore new opportunities. Your support means the world to me. I promise to keep you updated on my adventures at school and beyond.
Take care, and I can't wait to hear from you soon!
Love,
[Your Name]
