Introduction to Renewable Energy Sources - JSS1 Basic technology Lesson Note
Renewable energy sources are natural energy sources that can be replenished over time and do not deplete. These include solar energy, which is harnessed from the sun; wind energy, which is generated from the movement of air; hydroelectric energy, which comes from the flow of water; geothermal energy, which is derived from the heat within the Earth; and biomass energy, which is produced from organic materials. These energy sources are considered more sustainable compared to fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and natural gas) because they are abundant and produce little to no pollution.
