Map Reduction - SS1 Geography Lesson Note
Map reduction, also known as "map shrinking," is the process of making a map smaller. This can be done for various reasons, such as fitting a large area onto a single page or creating a more manageable map for practical use.
To reduce a map, you essentially make everything on it smaller, including the text, symbols, and drawings. However, you need to maintain the relative positions and proportions of objects on the map, so it accurately represents the real world.
