Fabric: Typically, natural fibers like cotton, silk, or linen are used for batik because they absorb dyes well.
Wax: Beeswax or paraffin wax is commonly used to create the resist effect.
Tools: Tjanting (a tool for applying hot wax in fine lines), brushes, stamps, or even objects like sticks or sponges can be used to apply wax.
Dyes: Natural or synthetic dyes can be used, depending on the desired outcome.
Containers: For dye baths.
Heating equipment: To melt wax and set dyes.
