Meaning of discipleship - JSS2 Christian Religious Studies Lesson Note
Discipleship is walking together in the way of Christ, learning to die, learning how to leave who you were, and learning who you now are. Learning to follow Jesus, becoming his disciple, means walking alongside someone further in the Christian faith for a significant period. It is personal. It is challenging.
Christ our Saviour came to this world to bridge the gap created by man when he sinned in the Garden of Eden. In this quest, he cannot do it all alone and so He decided to involve human through the call of the Disciples to fulfil His Ministry. They were the ones that started with Christ and still faced with the responsibility to continue from where He stopped.
