Mission of disciples - JSS2 Christian Religious Studies Lesson Note

Jesus trained the disciples in the ministry to win souls for God. The training involved giving the teachings to them and explaining everything to them. In Mark 4:34, the Bible says Jesus explained everything to the disciples in private. Part of the training also involved sending them out on trial missions to preach and to perform miracles of healing. After the death of Jesus, the disciples would continue to win souls for God by teaching the whole world what they had learnt from him. Therefore, after the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples and gave them the great commission:

“Go into the world and make disciples of all nations; teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
