Multiplication of Two 2-Digit Binary Numbers - JSS3 Mathematics Lesson Note

Binary multiplication is similar to decimal multiplication. The rules are:

0×0=0

0×1=0

1×0=0

1×1=1

Example: Multiplication of 10 and 11

Let's multiply 10 by 11.

    10

  x 11

  -----

    10    (10 * 1)

+ 10    (10 * 1 shifted one position to the left)

  -----

  110

So, 10×11=110.
