- Nigerian Armed Forces: Comprising the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, and Nigerian Air Force, the Armed Forces are responsible for defending the country's sovereignty, protecting its territorial integrity, and maintaining internal security.
- Nigeria Police Force: As the primary law enforcement agency, the Police Force is tasked with maintaining public order, preventing and investigating crimes, and ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the country.
- Nigerian Paramilitaries: Paramilitary organizations such as the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) assist in maintaining national security by providing specialized services, including protection of critical infrastructure, disaster response, and traffic management.
- Nigerian Customs Service: The Customs Service is responsible for enforcing customs and excise laws, regulating international trade, and preventing illicit trafficking of goods, including narcotics, weapons, and contraband.
- Nigerian Immigration Service: The Immigration Service manages the country's borders, enforces immigration laws, facilitates legal migration and travel, and prevents illegal entry and presence of individuals who pose security risks or threats to national interests.
