Ovulation - JSS1 Basic science Lesson Note

Ovulation is when an egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube, ready to be fertilized by sperm. It usually occurs around the middle of a woman's menstrual cycle, approximately 14 days before the start of her next period. This is the most fertile time in a woman's cycle.
