Real-life situations can often be modeled by linear equations.

Example:

A company charges a fixed fee of $50 plus $10 per hour for a service. The cost 𝐶 as a function of hours ℎ is given by 𝐶=10ℎ+50.

Create a table of values for ℎ and 𝐶:

C=10(0)+50=50

C=10(1)+50=60

C=10(2)+50=70

C=10(3)+50=80

C=10(4)+50=90
