Political Division of Nigeria - SS1 Geography Lesson Note
Nigeria is divided into states, each of which has its own capital city. Nigeria is divided into 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Here are a few key states and their capitals:
Lagos State - Capital: Lagos
Kano State - Capital: Kano
Rivers State - Capital: Port Harcourt
Borno State - Capital: Maiduguri
Ogun State - Capital: Abeokuta

Each state is further subdivided into local government areas (LGAs), and each LGA has its own headquarters. For example, Lagos State is divided into several LGAs, and one of them is Ikeja; with Ikeja as its headquarters.
