Power - JSS2 Basic science Lesson Note

Power is the rate at which work is done or energy is transferred. It measures how quickly work is done. Mathematically, power (P) is calculated by dividing the amount of work done (W) by the time (t) it takes to do that work: P = W ÷ t. So, a powerful engine can do a lot of work in a short amount of time, while a less powerful one may take longer to do the same amount of work.
