Rectangles - JSS1 Mathematics Lesson Note

Definition: A rectangle is a four-sided polygon (quadrilateral) where each angle is a right angle (90 degrees). Opposite sides are equal in length.

Properties:

All angles are 90 degrees.

Opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.

Diagonals bisect each other at right angles.

Example: A typical classroom whiteboard is often rectangular in shape.
