Resources from non-living things - JSS3 Basic science Lesson Note
Resources from non-living things, like solid minerals, are materials found in the earth that are valuable and useful to humans. For instance, limestone is a rock that's used in construction for buildings and roads. Coal is another non-renewable resource that's burned for energy. Gold, a precious metal, is used in jewelry and electronics. Tin is utilized in manufacturing cans and coatings.
These resources are extracted from the earth through mining processes and play crucial roles in various industries and daily life activities. However, their extraction can have environmental impacts and they are finite, meaning they can run out if not managed sustainably.
