1. Saws:

   - Maintain a firm grip on the saw handle and use controlled, fluid motions.

   - Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped or held in place to prevent slips.

   - Always cut away from the body and maintain a clear path of movement.

2. Scissors:

   - Hold the scissors with a comfortable grip, ensuring fingers are away from the cutting edges.

   - Use sharp scissors to minimise effort and achieve clean cuts.

   - Never force the scissors through materials; instead, opt for multiple, controlled cuts.
