Advantages:

Increased Productivity: By selecting animals based on desired traits, farmers can increase the overall productivity of their livestock. For example, selecting dairy cows for higher milk yield can lead to more milk production.

Adaptation: Selection can help animals adapt to specific environmental conditions. Farmers can select for traits that are better suited to their local climate and resources.
