Simple Equations - JSS3 Mathematics Lesson Note
Simple equations involving fractions are equations where the unknown variable appears in the numerator or denominator of one or more terms. The process of solving these equations is similar to solving equations with whole numbers, but we need to handle fractions carefully.
Example:
𝑥^3=4
To solve this equation:
Multiply both sides by 3 to eliminate the fraction:
𝑥=4×3
𝑥=12
So, 𝑥=12 is the solution.
